Established for over 90 years, Southern Group Laboratory Ltd. is an independent media manufacturer that offers an extensive range of pre-prepared bottled and plated media and associated products for every microbiologist. SGL is a major supplier of prepared microbiological media and supply not only to the Health Service but also to a wide range of industries including pharmaceutical, water, food, toiletries, cosmetic and confectionery companies.
In our 20,000-sq.ft state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Corby, Northants, we have invested in equipment and facilities to meet the exacting standards of quality and service being demanded by our customers. Our media is manufactured under precise quality control conditions that ensure optimal growth and maximum shelf life for all our products. Factors that affect media stability, such as exposure to light, temperature variation, and humidity, are all carefully controlled during the manufacturing process, ensuring that our products are of the highest quality available.
